Allegra Westbrooks Regional Library hosts its second annual Autumn ComicFest, a fall counterpart to Free Comic Book Day. The afternoon celebrates comics, manga and graphic novels: visitors can pick up free comics, meet other fans and explore sequential art in a relaxed library setting. Costumes are welcome, so children and teens can come dressed as a favorite character. The library lists it as free and open to all ages, from preschoolers through adults, which makes it an easy drop-in for families with mixed ages. A costume and décor swap and a teen community-service session are listed separately the same day. Plan on about two and a half hours if you want to browse everything.
