About this adventure
A drop-in, hands-on demonstration at the President James K. Polk State Historic Site in Pineville. Site interpreter Amelia demonstrates how colors were made from plants, and visitors who want to take part can get their hands into the dyes themselves. The demonstration runs through the day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., so families can stop by at any point and chat with the demonstrator. The state lists the program for all ages and the general public.
