The 23rd annual Statesville PumpkinFest fills downtown Statesville with regional arts and crafts, food, live music on two stages, a classic car cruise-in and pumpkin-themed highlights. For families with young children, the free Kids' Zone on the lawn of Broad Street United Methodist Church offers games and activities for ages 2 to 6 plus a private care tent for diaper changes, nursing or a quiet sensory break. Parents register each child at the Kids' Zone entrance for a wristband, and children must stay with an adult. Plan on a few hours and bring a stroller for the crowds.
