The 30th Masonic District of North Carolina's annual Christmas Parade rolls through downtown Statesville on a Sunday afternoon. The route follows Center Street from Bell Street to Statesville High School, with decorated floats, marching bands, carolers, local schools and community groups, and Santa Claus as the grand finale. Candy is handed out by walkers only (nothing is thrown from vehicles). Proceeds support the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford and WhiteStone. Bring chairs and arrive early along Center Street; Downtown Statesville suggests coming early for brunch downtown.
