About this adventure
A storytime built for children on the autism spectrum or with other sensory sensitivities, held in the early evening at ImaginOn, the uptown children's library that shares its building with Children's Theatre of Charlotte. Staff from ImaginOn's Spangler Library lead half an hour of stories, songs and activities planned for kids who find a regular storytime overwhelming, and parents and caregivers take part alongside their children rather than watching from the side. Children up to age 11 are welcome, so school-age kids and older siblings can come too. No registration is needed, but the library limits the room to 40 people so the session stays calm and uncrowded, which makes arriving a few minutes early a good idea. The dates on the library calendar this season are Monday November 2, Thursday November 19, Monday December 7 and Thursday December 17, each from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
