Quest Nature Center at Latta Nature Preserve in Huntersville holds two short drop-in live animal shows featuring the nature center's resident turtles, at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Each half-hour session lets children meet the turtles up close while staff explain how they live, eat and protect themselves. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The program is listed for all ages with a limited number of spaces per session (30 were open at the first session when checked), so arriving on time is a good idea.
