Winterfest is Indian Trail's free holiday evening at Chestnut Square Park, held right after the town's Christmas Parade. The town promises free hot chocolate, photos with Santa and other holiday-themed activities for families between 6 and 9 p.m. It is a relaxed, drop-in event: families can come for Santa photos and a warm drink and stay for the activities as long as they like. Chestnut Square Park is the town's main event park off Chestnut Parkway.
