Trailside Museum of Natural History in River Forest invites families to wear their Halloween costumes for an autumn walk through the surrounding woods on Sunday, October 25, at 1:30 p.m. Along the way children look for hidden treats, which the Forest Preserves note are nut-free. The walk is free and listed as a youth and nature-play program. Trailside's 1876 building also houses live animal ambassadors that visitors can see inside.
