Lake County Parks and the Chicago Area Orienteering Club offer a fall orienteering morning on Saturday, October 24, from 10 am to noon, for ages 8 and up. Participants use map and compass skills on a new course with two levels of difficulty, and a beginner's clinic on site teaches the basics or refreshes rusty skills. Registration is through the orienteering club; dress for the weather. The listing names Deep River County Park's Big Maple Lake area, 7302 Ainsworth Road in Hobart, as the location, but its text mentions a course at Stoney Run, so confirm the meeting place before you go.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read the Lake County Parks (Indiana) CivicPlus event page; found via its calendar RSS feed. Location conflict: the title and location field say Deep River Big Maple Lake (7302 Ainsworth Road, Hobart) but the text says 'a new orienteering course at Stoney Run'.
