Buffalo Grove Park District sets up a holiday shop where children do their own gift shopping with help from park district holiday helpers. Gifts are priced from $3 to $8 and come wrapped and ready to give. It runs Wednesday, December 2, and Thursday, December 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Alcott Center. Kids bring their own spending money; parents wait nearby. It suits preschool through grade-school children who want to surprise family members.
