- Village of Libertyville Recreation Department
Libertyville's recreation department holds its Santa Parade on Saturday, December 12, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. Santa rides through town that afternoon, and families can follow his progress with the village's Santa Tracker. The route and the tracker are posted on the village website the week of the parade, so check libertyville.com before heading out and pick a curbside spot near your home or downtown. A daytime parade is easier with toddlers and preschoolers than the evening parades in other towns, and no registration is listed for it. Plan the weekend around it: the department's Donuts with Santa breakfast at the Crawford House is the next morning, and the Cook Park tree lighting two weeks earlier starts the village's holiday season.
