The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink is the outdoor rink in Millennium Park, run by the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE). Ice skating returns on Friday, November 20, 2026, the same day as the city's Christmas Tree Lighting nearby, and the season runs into February 2027, weather permitting; the city has not published an exact closing day. The rink is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and admission is free. Snacks and hot drinks are sold by Momentum Coffee and Millennium Hall next to the rink, and the Millennium Park Holiday Market and sing-alongs run nearby during the holidays. Power and manual wheelchairs are allowed on the ice with an escort on skates. Closures for severe weather are posted on Millennium Park's Facebook page, so check before heading downtown with children. Free weekend learn-to-skate lessons are held at the rink in the mornings (listed separately).

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

Closing month only ('February 2027'), so recorded as a place. The city page prints no street address; address built from the DCASE release ('Located along Michigan Avenue, the Park is bordered by Randolph Street to the north, Columbus Drive to the east and Monroe Street to the south'). millenniumpark.org timed out from curl, so 2026–27 rental prices and whether timed reservations are required were not confirmed (last season required reservations).
