About this adventure

A Tuesday-afternoon session of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's Homeschool Explorers series, a run of hands-on, discovery-driven programs built for homeschooling families. January's topic is Balto, the famous sled dog, and the Iditarod race that honors his 1925 serum run, a natural fit for a winter unit on animals, geography and cold-weather survival. The museum pitches the series at children of every school age and invites whole families to come together. Tickets include general admission, so families can stay on to explore the galleries after the two-hour program. Registration is through the museum's ticketing page.
