Whetstone Branch Library hosts a gingerbread afternoon for families. Children build their own gingerbread house with all supplies provided, meet special guest Fly Guy, and watch the branch's Teen Advisory Board perform a Dr. Seuss-inspired play bringing The Grinch and the Gingerbread Man to life. The library describes it as a merry mix of stories, sweets and surprises. The party runs about an hour and a half, so it fits preschoolers through elementary-age kids with a grown-up helping on the decorating. Supplies are included; check the event page in case registration opens for the decorating tables.
