Upcoming dates: Sun, Nov 15 · Sun, Nov 29
A three-hour paddling program on the wetlands of the Heard Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney. Each session starts with a safety talk and an introduction to canoeing that covers basic strokes, boat safety and flatwater maneuvers, so no paddling experience is needed. Participants then spend about 40 minutes on a guided canoe trail around the Heard wetlands, learning about wetland plants, wildlife, history and basic wetland ecology, and finish with free paddle time to explore on their own. It suits families with older children and teens who are comfortable on the water. Sessions in this window are Sunday afternoons, November 15 and November 29, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm. Fees and age requirements are not printed on the event page, so check the Heard's paddle program information before booking.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
The 11-15 detail page was read by curl. The 11-29 date comes from the Heard all-events list (same title and time); its detail page was not opened. No fee or ages are printed on the detail page. The 'groups of 12 or more' wording refers to custom canoe programs, not these public sessions.
