About this adventure

The Irving Symphony Orchestra's holiday concert is built around Christmas movie music, which makes it an easy first orchestra concert for school-age children. The program covers soundtrack favorites from Home Alone, Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life and The Polar Express, with vocalist Maegan Coomes and the MacArthur High School Choir joining the orchestra, and the audience is invited to sing along. The concert is an evening performance at the Irving Arts Center, so it suits older children and families making a dressed-up night of it. Tickets are sold through the Irving Arts Center box office, which offers lower student and senior prices; the orchestra notes that discounts are available by phone.
