About this adventure

The Cliburn's family concert series opens the holiday season in the Fort Worth Stockyards with 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, a short show that sets the classic Christmas poem to classical piano music. Around the performance there are festive crafts, seasonal treats and a few surprises, so it works as an introduction to live classical music for young children. The concert takes place in the Stampede Room at Stockyards Station on Thanksgiving Saturday, with a morning and an afternoon performance, and families can make a day of it with the Stockyards' seasonal ice rink, photos with Cowboy Santa and the daily longhorn cattle drive nearby. Every child over age 2 needs a ticket. The Stockyards are very busy on the holiday weekend, so the Cliburn asks families to allow extra time for traffic and parking; photography and recording are not allowed during the show.
