About this adventure

Ronald McDonald House Dallas's long-running holiday model-train exhibit returns to Level One of NorthPark Center (across from Kona Grill) for its 2026–27 season. Miniature trains run across about 1,600 feet of track through scenes of Dallas and famous American cityscapes, and the display is refreshed with new scenes each year. New this season are earlier opening hours and Themed Tuesdays, when select hours bring costumed characters, festive music, pop-up surprises and themed activities. Choo-Choo Tales & Tunes, a morning of storytelling, music and audience participation for young children, returns for a second year, and Art on the Rails displays a fully painted train by Dallas artist Michael Shellis that will be auctioned for the charity. The exhibit suits every age, from toddlers who love watching the locomotives to older kids who notice the detail in the landscapes. Admission proceeds support free lodging, meals and transport for families of children receiving medical care in Dallas. Sensory-friendly hours are listed as to be announced.
