Flower Mound's Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on the first Saturday of December at Gerault Park, with festivities beginning at 5:30 pm and running until 9 pm. For 2026 the town is carrying its July Fourth celebration into the holidays with the parade theme A Star-Spangled Christmas: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom and Festivity. The evening combines a lighted parade with the lighting of the town tree at the park next to the Community Activity Center. The town's calendar lists no admission fee; check the town's parade page for the route, parking and road closures closer to the date. Families with small children may want to arrive early for a curbside spot and bring blankets or chairs for the outdoor evening. The same morning the Rotary's Reindeer Run 5K and Grinch Sprint is held at Bakersfield Park.
