Arlington's annual holiday celebration fills downtown on a December Saturday. It starts at 2 p.m. with indoor Reindeer Games and crafts at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, where children can also have their picture taken with Santa until 5 p.m., while outdoor Reindeer Games with bounce houses run on the First Baptist Church of Arlington north lawn. From 4 p.m. there is entertainment at Levitt Pavilion. The Holiday Lights Parade steps off at 6 p.m., followed by the Mayor and Santa lighting a 65-foot Christmas tree; after the lighting, Santa and Mrs. Claus pose for photos at Levitt until 9 p.m. The event is free and goes ahead in rain or snow, but not in ice or lightning.
