On Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m., Texas Discovery Gardens holds a pumpkin-themed Homeschool Day, The Great Pumpkin Investigation. Families explore the science of pumpkins through self-paced activity stations around the gardens in Fair Park, Dallas. As at every Homeschool Day, each station has a hands-on experiment, craft, animal encounter or other interactive activity tied to the theme, and stations may be indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. Families can also visit the Butterfly House during their visit. There's no indoor dining, so pack a picnic. You must register in advance through the gardens' Homeschool Days page. It suits homeschooling families with children of mixed ages who can move through the stations together.
