The Peace Plaza Ice Rink is an outdoor seasonal rink on Peace Plaza in front of Grapevine Main Station, under the city's tall live Christmas tree. Grapevine calls it Texas' largest outdoor ice rink. Each skating session lasts one hour, with a 15-minute changeover between sessions. Tickets are $20 per person for all ages, and skate rental is included (no discount for bringing your own). Skates come in sizes from toddler 8 to men's 13, and skaters must be at least 3 years old. There are no skating trainers or aids for children, so new young skaters will need a grown-up close by. The page lists most Fridays and Saturdays 12–10:30 p.m. (last session 9:30), most Sundays 12–9 p.m., and most Mondays–Thursdays from November 23 to December 17, 3:45–9 p.m. On Christmas Eve it is open 12–6 p.m. and on New Year's Eve 12–7:30 p.m. It is closed on Thanksgiving (November 26) and Christmas Day. Wear gloves and warm socks.
