The fourth annual Trail of Lights turns the campgrounds of Lake Mineral Wells State Park into a drive-through holiday light display. Campers decorate their campsites, and visiting families drive past them through the park in the evening. The Park Store adds hot chocolate and photos with Santa, which makes this an easy outing for families with young children who would rather stay warm in the car between stops. It runs from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on two evenings, Friday December 18 and Saturday December 19, 2026. Instead of charging park admission for the Trail of Lights, the Friends of Lake Mineral Wells State Park accept donations. The park is on Park Road 71 east of Mineral Wells in Parker County. Check the park page for any changes before you set out.
