About this adventure
Rowlett Public Library's Winter Reading Challenge keeps readers going through the holiday break and into the new year. Participants pick up a Winter Reading Stamp Book at the library's red reference desk from Saturday, November 21, then work through reading prompts and activities spread across four themed pages. Every completed page earns a physical stamp and a mini prize at the desk, and each finished activity adds entries for the grand prize drawings at the end of the challenge on January 30. It is free, runs at the reader's own pace, and gives children something concrete to aim for during winter break, with a visit to the library to collect each stamp. The city calendar does not limit the challenge to an age group, so check at the desk whether there are separate books for children, teens and adults.
