Cranbrook Institute of Science's Discovery Days explore a natural-history theme through hands-on activities, community partners and exhibit exploration, and the October edition leans into the Halloween season. At Bats, Bones, and Bubbles, curious kids and their grown-ups try hands-on experiments, meet fascinating 'monsters,' investigate mysterious bones and more across the museum. It runs Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The activities are included with general museum admission (free for members), and the museum offers advance registration links for the general public and members. Pair it with a planetarium show (extra charge) or a visit to the Nature Zone, where children can touch rocks, minerals and fossils.
