The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms holds its 4th Annual Halloween Spooktacular on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. Families check in in front of the Alger House for directions, and children can trick-or-treat indoors in the historic Alger House from noon to 2 p.m. (check-in and trick-or-treat stations close at 2). Halloween stage shows follow a set schedule: Dan the Creature Man's Creepy Crawlies and Reptiles Show at 12:15, Nat Spinz's interactive hula hoop demonstration at 1:15 and the Harvest Magic Show with Chris Linn at 2:15. There is also a pumpkin patch with pumpkin decorating on the back lawn, indoor and outdoor crafts and games for all ages, a decorate-your-own-donut station, a petting zoo and a food stand with hot dogs and pretzels. Costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $10 each for adults and children.
