A not-so-spooky Halloween afternoon for children ages 6 to 10 who prefer a quieter celebration. Nature center staff lead pumpkin decorating with low-odor, low-mess materials, an introduction to one of the nature center's animals, and a gentle fall nature walk. The first half is indoors and the second half outdoors; a low-light calming space is available and every activity is optional, so children can join in when they are ready. Costumes are welcome. The program lasts 90 minutes, and each child must come with a registered adult, who attends free. Further accommodations can be arranged by contacting the nature center.
