About this adventure
Alongside its Nutcracker performances at Macomb Center, Michigan Ballet Company hosts a Nutcracker Sweet Tea at the Lorenzo Cultural Center, aimed at families and young ballet fans. Guests sit down to lunch with treats from the Land of Sweets, then Clara tells the story of her magical journey in a storytime. Children make a festive craft to take home and meet characters from the ballet, with time set aside for photos and autographs with Clara and her friends. It works as a stand-alone holiday outing or as a lead-in to seeing the full ballet, and it suits preschool and elementary-age children who love dress-up and fairy tales. Tickets are $48 per person and are sold through the Macomb Center box office; the seating time is picked on the ticketing page. Book early, since teas like this are small compared with the main-stage performances.
