Downtown Ferndale businesses open their doors to trick-or-treaters, children and dogs alike, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. Look for the 'Customized Pumpkin' poster in shop windows to know which businesses are handing out treats for people and for pups. Community stations run by the Ferndale Fire Department, the Ferndale Police Department, Downtown Ferndale staff, commissioners and council members will be set up around town, and a zone guide map will be posted to help families plan their route along the trail of participating businesses. The Ferndale Downtown Development Authority asks families to obey signs, use crosswalks, stay on sidewalks and watch for traffic, and reminds visitors to choose costumes that do not demean others. Children and pups of all ages are welcome.
