About this adventure

Stage Right Productions stages A Christmas Story at Conroe's historic Crighton Theatre, a 1934 downtown playhouse. The comedy follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker, growing up in the 1940s Midwest, in his campaign to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas while every adult warns 'You'll shoot your eye out!' Along the way come schoolyard bullies, an exploding furnace, the neighbors' pack of dogs and the infamous leg lamp. The familiar story and its kid's-eye point of view make it an easy first play for school-age children, and the Sunday 2 p.m. matinees are the most family-friendly option. Directed by Katt Gilcrease. Tickets are sold online through Etix or at the Crighton box office, open Tuesday–Friday 3–6 p.m. and two hours before showtime on Saturday and Sunday show days.
