The City of Houston's 77th annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade rolls through downtown Houston on Thursday, November 26, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. One of the oldest Thanksgiving parades in the country, it draws hundreds of thousands of spectators each year with large floats, marching performers and entertainment, and is the city's traditional start to the holiday season. Watching along the route is a classic morning outing for families before the holiday meal: arrive early to claim a curb spot, bring chairs or blankets and layers for a cool morning, and plan around downtown street closures, which the Mayor's Office of Special Events publishes as a PDF schedule with a route map. Questions go to the Special Events Office at 832-393-0868.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Exact route is in a linked PDF map not read; 901 Bagby is the Special Events Office at City Hall, used as a downtown reference address, not the parade start. Free to watch along the route is customary but not stated.
