Children's Museum Houston fills Thanksgiving week, November 23–29, 2026, with themed days under the Great Gobbler Fest banner. Monday's Turkey Jam brings a turkey DJ, games and line dancing plus paper-bag turkey costumes. Tuesday is the Turkey Pardon: kids make costumes (25 per hour, 9 a.m.–noon), join a 12:30 p.m. parade, and watch the Kids' Committee pardon a live turkey. Wednesday's Pumpkin Chunkin' relay (11 a.m. and 1 p.m., ages 5 and up, chosen by raffle) ends with pumpkins dropped from a lift, alongside mini pumpkin pudding pies and pumpkin catapults. The museum is closed Thanksgiving Day. Friday's Changing of the Seasons features a Santa meet-and-greet and a short Ensemble Theatre show handing the season from the Great Gobbler to Santa, and Saturday's Cozy Campfires adds hot-cocoa-spoon and animal-stuffy workshops, campfire storytimes and lanterns. All activities are included with general admission, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
