Moody Gardens in Galveston celebrates its 25th holiday season with Holiday in The Gardens, running nightly from November 21, 2026 through January 2, 2027. The centrepiece is a mile-long Holiday Lights Trail with more than two million lights and lighted scenes set to music and views over Galveston Bay. Inside a tent kept at about 9 degrees, ICE LAND: Caribbean Christmas uses more than two million pounds of hand-carved ice to build an undersea Gulf scene with a giant ice slide; parkas are provided, but bring coats, hats and gloves. Families can also skate on the outdoor rink (evening skating is included with a Holiday Lights ticket), ride the Arctic Slide, take little ones on the Kiddie Train through a stretch of lights, watch Rudolph 4D and Scrooge 4D, and see A Very Electric Christmas, a glow-in-the-dark Lightwire Theater show whose tickets include trail admission. Outside food and drink are not allowed; only service animals are permitted except on dog theme nights. Parking is free.
