Sports Facilities Companies (for MetroNational)

Ice Skate Memorial City is the indoor rink inside Memorial City Mall on the west side of Houston, run by Sports Facilities Companies, with public skating sessions, a Learn to Skate program, figure skating and hockey. Families planning a visit should know the rink is closing: MetroNational has set Monday, December 14, 2026 as its final day of operation because of redevelopment, so this fall is the last season to skate here unless the timeline is extended. Public skate admission is $10, skate rental $5 and walkers rent for $10 an hour, and a 10-visit punch card costs $80 for skaters with their own skates. Tickets are sold per session, are not discounted for a shorter skate, and are not sold with less than 30 minutes of the session left. On the ice everyone skates counterclockwise outside the center cones, which are kept for private lessons. The Learn to Skate program takes children as young as three if they are potty trained. Check the ice schedule for public session times, which vary.
