After Christmas, Moody Gardens runs a playful character breakfast in the Frances Anne Moody Ballroom on December 26 and 27, 2026, with seatings at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. The menu leans silly and sweet: green velvet waffles, a build-your-own pancake bar and a cocoa bar with all the toppings. Costumed characters move between tables for photos, so children get time with them while they eat rather than waiting in a line. Reservations are required. It is a good fit for families staying on Galveston Island over winter break or planning to visit Holiday in The Gardens the same day.
