- Organizer
- The Woodlands Township
The Woodlands Township's seasonal ice rink returns for 2026–27 in a 21,000-square-foot facility next to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, decorated with holiday lights and set up for skaters of every level. Public skating runs in two-hour sessions with a 30-minute break between them while the ice is resurfaced. Families with small children get some real help here: there is a smaller rink for beginners, special skates for toddlers, and skating walkers and helmets to rent, and young children are expected to stay with a supervising adult. Skate rental is included in admission, and spectators who only want to watch the kids skate get in free. Weekday sessions start after school (first session 4 p.m.), with all-day sessions on Saturdays and during Conroe ISD school breaks. Through the season the rink adds themed evenings such as Tuesday Carol Karaoke, Thursday Night Trivia and Friday Night Disco. Reserving a session online is recommended, especially on weekends and holidays, because walk-up admission depends on capacity; plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early to check in, sign the waiver and get skates. Dress in layers with long pants, socks and gloves. Outside food and drink are not allowed, though concessions are sold and birthday cakes are welcome.
