About this adventure
Wood artist Maria Patterson shows children how carving differs from other kinds of sculpture, then lets them try kid-safe tools on a bar of soap to carve a small 3D piece. The workshop is for ages 5 and up with their families and is included with museum admission; participants sign up at the Concierge Desk on the day. Sessions run at 1 and 2 p.m. on December 30 and 31, 2026.
