About this adventure

One of the few undeveloped barrier islands left in Northeast Florida, Little Talbot has more than 5 miles of beach and 3 miles of bike trails north of the St. Johns River. Besides surf and white sand, the beach is strewn with sun-bleached roots and fallen cedar and palm trunks that kids love to climb around and photograph. Families come for beachcombing, fishing, birdwatching and hiking, and paddlers can follow Myrtle Creek along its bluffs by kayak. There is a campground in a shady forest hammock.
