Merriam's Halloween Happenings invites children 10 and under to come in costume to Merriam Marketplace for an afternoon of spooky fun. Kids play Halloween games, collect candy and go car to car at a trunk-or-treat where licensed Merriam businesses decorate their vehicles and hand out treats. The event is free and lasts 90 minutes, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., which makes it a manageable outing for toddlers and preschoolers as well as older children.
