On three December Sundays Santa Claus visits the Lenexa Public Market for free, drop-in photos and wish-list chats. Every week children can write and decorate a letter to Santa, and a second activity rotates: a self-guided elf scavenger hunt through the Market on Dec. 6, winter and Christmas coloring packets on Dec. 13, and design-your-own paper gingerbread houses with stickers and crayons on Dec. 20. Supplies are provided. Families can stay for lunch from the Market's food merchants, and Cardboard Corner Cafe runs a build-your-own hot chocolate bar for $5 per person on the main level. Visits run 12:30 to 2 p.m.
