The annual Nutcracker Tea Party, held since 2006, pairs a shortened performance of The Nutcracker ballet by Crescendo Conservatory dancers with a seated tea party. The ballet runs under an hour but keeps the costumes and favorite scenes, which is why organizers say it especially suits children about 3 to 10 who are not ready for a two-hour performance. Guests eat traditional tea-party fare, and costumed dancers visit each table for photos; a Nutcracker Boutique sells nutcrackers, tiaras and ornaments. There are four parties: Saturday, Dec. 5 at noon and 4 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 6 at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Reserved seats cost $65 to $125 depending on row, and ticket sales close Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit Friends of Overland Park Arts.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

Read in a browser. The organizer page has no year, but the City of Overland Park events calendar lists all four 2026 sessions (Dec. 5, 2026 noon–2 pm and 4–6 pm; Dec. 6, 2026 11:30 am–1:30 pm and 3:30–5:30 pm) at 9000 W 137th St, Overland Park, KS 66221-2042, so the year is confirmed. Ticket sales close Nov. 27 at 5 pm.
