About this adventure
Every Tuesday, Wonderscope children's museum in south Kansas City runs Science Time, a short hands-on class led by the museum's programs staff (the event listing introduces the teacher as Mr. John). Each week introduces a different science, technology, engineering or math idea in a way young children can follow, with the aim of building confidence for kids who constantly ask 'why' and 'how'. Four sessions run through the day, so families can fit one around naps or lunch. Classes are small and fill on the day: sign-ups open 30 minutes before each session at the blue wall near the museum's front entrance, and the class is included with general admission or a membership, so plan to arrive early and add it to a regular museum visit.
