Organizer
Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square (Willy Bietak Productions)

The Holiday Ice Rink in Pershing Square is downtown Los Angeles's big outdoor holiday rink, set up each winter in the city park at Fifth and Olive with the downtown towers around it. For the 2026–27 season it is open daily from November 12 through January 3. Skating runs in 60-minute sessions that start every hour and a half: weekday afternoons and evenings, and from noon on weekends, during Thanksgiving week and over the winter break. Admission includes rental figure or hockey skates in sizes from toddler 8 to adult 15. Beginners who are 48 inches tall or shorter can rent a polar-bear Skate Helper to push for balance (one skater per helper, limited numbers, first come first served); skaters must be able to stand on their own. Minors must be accompanied and supervised on the ice by an adult, and children may not be carried while skating. The rink runs themed sessions through the season, including Classical Sundays with music from Classical California at the noon and 1:30 pm sessions, DJ Spotlight nights on December Thursdays and themed Tuesday evenings (listed separately). Dress in layers and bring gloves; restrooms are in the park, since skates cannot be worn off the rink. Tickets are bought online for a specific session, and if weather ends or cancels a session, tickets can be rebooked for any available session through January 3. Metro's B and D Lines stop at Pershing Square Station, and the park's underground garage is first come, first served.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

Read the rink's WordPress pages (home, Plan Your Visit and special events, all modified 2026-10-10) through /wp-json/wp/v2/pages; curl works on holidayicerinkdowntownla.com without www (the www host shows Cloudflare error 1000). Home and Plan Your Visit say open daily November 12, 2026 – January 3, 2027 with the hours above; the events page and the City of LA invitation flyer call the Thursday, November 19 opening celebration 'the first skate of the season', which conflicts, but the events page also lists a themed session on November 17, so November 12 is used. No separate admission-without-rental price is printed (only the $5 refund). Customer service line 424-228-7844 (7 am–midnight) from the home page; park address confirmed on the City of LA park page.
