On Tuesday evenings the Holiday Ice Rink in Pershing Square turns its 7:30 pm session into a themed skate with its own soundtrack, and skaters are invited to dress the part. The 2026 line-up starts with Onesies Tuesday on November 17, when families and friends are encouraged to match in onesies (slippers stay off the ice), followed by a Friendsgiving skate on November 24. Broadway On Ice on December 1 is presented with the Hollywood Pantages Theatre and draws on The Lion King and Elf The Musical. Later nights bring a Latin Holiday Night (December 8), a K-Pop Holiday Skate with light sticks (December 15), A Country Christmas (December 22) and a Y2K Nostalgic New Year on December 29. These are regular one-hour public sessions under the downtown skyline, so they suit older kids and teens who skate on their own as well as families with younger children and an adult on the ice. Rental skates are included in admission, and Skate Helpers are available for small beginners. Book the 7:30 pm session online ahead of time, and bring layers and gloves for a December evening outdoors.
