Santa joins skaters on the Irvine Spectrum Center ice rink for a special morning session on Saturday, December 5, from 10 to 11:30 am, before the rink's regular sessions begin at 2 pm. It is a chance for children to skate a few laps alongside Santa Claus on the open-air rink near the Spectrum SunWheel. Tickets for this session are bought through the center's Skate with Santa page, which the rink page links to for details; the rink page itself does not give the price or say whether skate rental is included. Helmets ($8) are recommended for young skaters and can be requested at the rink. Weather can close the outdoor ice, so check with the box office at (714) 742-0160 if rain is in the forecast. The rink also runs regular afternoon and evening sessions the same day.
