Night-sky evening with the OC Astronomers club in Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve: walk among members' telescopes aimed at objects such as Saturn's rings, the Orion Nebula or the Andromeda galaxy. Before dark, an IRC docent leads a walk looking for nocturnal critters, using bat detectors and UV flashlights to find glowing scorpions and listening for owls, followed by a short astronomy talk. Only red-light flashlights allowed. Minimum age 6. Advance registration required; no walk-ups.
