Miami City Ballet's George Balanchine's The Nutcracker returns to the Adrienne Arsht Center's opera house from December 11 to 27, 2026. Children follow Marie and the Nutcracker through a forest of dancing snowflakes, a battle with the Mouse King and a visit to the Sugarplum Fairy in the Land of Sweets, with Tchaikovsky's score and falling snow on stage. The company recommends the ballet for ages 4 and up; it lasts about two hours including one 20-minute intermission, so it suits children who can sit through a full-length show. Individual performance times and prices load in the company's ticketing widget and were not visible in the page text; check the Miami City Ballet page for the exact schedule.
