Boca Raton opens its holiday season with a free evening at Mizner Park Amphitheater. From 6 pm there are live music sets, a craft station, a holiday market and food and drinks for purchase. Between 6 and 10 pm families can walk over to the Boca Raton Art Museum for selfie photos with Santa. The ceremonial lighting of the City's tree, led by the mayor, happens at 7:30 pm and switches on Mizner Park's display of 50,000 LED lights across 75 palm trees, with 2D light displays that make good photo spots. Chairs can be rented on site; outside chairs are not allowed and each person may bring one unopened bottle of water. Plaza Real East and West inside Mizner Park close to cars from 5 pm, so plan parking ahead. A good fit for all ages, especially younger children who want to see Santa and the lights going on.
