About this adventure
The Levis JCC's 18th annual Thanksgiving morning race at South County Regional Park in west Boca Raton invites the whole family to run, walk or trot. The 5K run/walk starts at 7:30 a.m. and a separate Youth 1 Mile Fun Run follows at 8:30 a.m., where every child gets a medal; all racers get refreshments afterwards. Age-group awards in the 5K start with a 10-and-under category. Proceeds from the Paul Markhoff Racing with the J 5Ks support Levis JCC programs for children and families. Packet pickup runs at the JCC campus the weekend and early week before the race (a valid driver's license is needed to enter the campus) and at the park's Sunset Cove Amphitheater from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. on race day. All park entrances except the Glades Road entrance close at 7:00 a.m. for road closures.
