About this adventure
The Milwaukee Domes Alliance's annual Day of the Dead evening fills the Mitchell Park Domes with music and color. Students from the surrounding community build traditional ofrendas (offerings honoring loved ones) and the entire Desert Dome is decorated for the holiday. The night includes a mariachi band, Día de los Muertos dancers, hands-on art activities inspired by the tradition, educational programming, bilingual storytimes, light shows and local food and art vendors (food and drink for purchase). Admission covers entry to the Domes and greenhouse. A good evening for families who want children to learn about the celebration through crafts and performance. Tickets are sold online only, not at the door, and the event often sells out.
